Cooking In Season
Especially in the summer and fall, make use of whatever is in season and plan your meals around what is grown locally. Farmers Markets are plentiful (this year my home town of Ridgefield, CT has one) so even if you don’t have a garden, the continuous harvest is easily accessible. Enjoy the peppers, the peaches the plums, herbs, beans, basil and of course the tomatoes and all the rest that is appearing in the weeks to come. The less you do to prepare the fruits of this bounty, the better they taste and what could be easier than this.
